ON THIS DAY: Hazard presented at Bernabeu as new Real Madrid player

On this day in 2019, thousands of fans packed the Santiago Bernabeu stadium to greet Real Madrid's new club-record signing Eden Hazard after the forward completed his move from Chelsea.

Real paid Chelsea an initial fee of 100 million euros which may rise to 146.3 million euros with bonuses.

The 28-year-old walked around the field kicking footballs into the stands much to the delight of the 'Madristas' who will be hoping he can lead them to their first Spanish league title since 2017.

He suffered a thigh and ankle injury in his debut season which saw him miss a majority of games, however he still managed to make 10 appearances and scored one goal.
