Match report:

Unai Emery made just a single change to his side that beat Bournemouth narrowly before the international break with Joe Willock coming in for Daniel Ceballos. Alexandre Lacazette was back into the Arsenal set-up after recovering from injury. He was named on the bench. Sheffield United, on the other hand, made two changes to their side that drew Watford last time out. Striking duo Oliver McBurnie and Callum Robinson dropping to the bench in favour of Lys Mousset and David McGoldrick.

Mousset gave the home side the lead in the 30th minute when he tapped home from close range following a corner from the home side. Jack O'Connell did well to knock the ball into the striker's path. Despite having the majority of the ball, Arsenal failed to create many meaningful chances. Nicolas Pepe's missed a good chance to put the visitors ahead in the first half, to sum up yet another not so impressive performance by the Ivorian. Arsenal did try to run at Sheffield by introducing Ceballos in the second half but it failed to yield any significant result. The home side defended eloquently and were more than capable in keeping the Arsenal attackers at bay for much of the game. The result means Arsenal are left on 5th two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. Meanwhile, Sheffield United enter the top 10, tied on 12 points with Tottenham Hotspur.
