Raheem Sterling could very well go on and become one of Manchester City’s most productive signings in this decade. The England international, who joined the Citizens in a £49 million deal from Liverpool, starred in Manchester City’s mid-week triumph over Atlanta. Sterling bagged a hat-trick in the game, and also provided the assist for Sergio Aguero’s equaliser at the Etihad on Tuesday night. In an interview after the game, the City winger was asked about the whereabouts of the match balls he had won after scoring his fourth hat-trick in the calendar year. When asked if he had room to store all the match balls he has won, the England international replied that all the match balls he has ever won are stored at his mother’s house in Jamaica. Sterling also went on to say that he had bought an extra six cases in case he does score more hat-tricks this season.

City manager Pep Guardiola will be hoping that Raheem Sterling will be in need of more space for his incoming match balls this season, as the winger starred in City’s 5-1 win over Atlanta in the Champions League. Sterling put in a man-of-the-match display, as Guardiola and his men romped to a convincing victory over the Italian side. Sterling has enjoyed a productive season so far, having scored 12 goals already.

City dominant in win
City did have to survive an early scare, going 1-0 down to Atlanta in the 28th minute, after makeshift centre-back Fernandinho was adjudged to have fouled Atlanta striker Josip Ilicic in the box. However, City were only behind for a mere seven minutes in the game. Sterling clipped in a delightful cross between the Atlanta defence to find Sergio Aguero, who duly slotted in City's equaliser. From then onwards, it was a City show all evening, as Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne wreaked havoc all game. The win over Atlanta means that Man City are now top of their Champions League group, after securing three wins in three games. What's even more impressive is the fact that they have conceded just one goal so far, which came in the game against Atlanta. On the other end, however, City have scored 10 goals so far. It's safe to say that Guardiola's men are on song in the Champions League.
