Rana Daggubati is elated as he meets his new ISL team Hyderabad FC
Rana Daggubati recently joined the celebrity owners' list courtesy his stake in Hyderabad FC. He stated his happiness on seeing his team for the first time.
South Indian actor Rana Daggubati was recently named as the co-owner of the Indian Super League debutant club Hyderabad FC. He co-owns it with businessmen Varun Tripuraneni and Vijay Madduri. He met the Hyderabad FC team last week before their first win in the league which came in their very first home game. Rana’s team registered a 2-1 home win against the Kerala Blasters side on Saturday. Talking to the press before the match, Rana expressed his happiness over meeting the team and he said that they were supercharged about the first home game.
Earlier on his announcement of joining the franchise, Rana had said that Hyderabad has had a good legacy with the sport. He said that this team has a chance to rekindle that legacy in the Indian Super League. He added that he is confidently counting on Kamaljit Singh and his side to make a mark in their opening season of ISL. Rana signed off saying that the team has been doing really well as they won all of their seven friendly matches and has proved its capability in the preliminary camps in Chennai and Goa.
Hyderabad FC's season so far
Hyderabad FC will be hosting NorthEast United in their fourth clash of this season on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. The match is scheduled to start by 7:30 pm IST. The Kamaljit and co are currently placed on the ninth position of the table with three points. They have registered two defeats and a victory. With the upcoming clash at home, they will be looking to carry their winning momentum forward.
