Marcus Rashford has sent the internet into a frenzy with his outrageous free-kick against Chelsea on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup. The goal feels very similar to Cristiano Ronaldo's strike against Portsmouth back in 2008 and comparisons have been drawn ever since. Here are some of the most hilarious reactions by his teammates and former Manchester United players.
Marcus Rashford's wonder strike
73rd minute with the game tied at 1-1, Marcus Rashford calmly steps up to take the free-kick. He firmly takes his position and strikes the ball into the top-left corner of the goal from 30-yards out. He got the ball above the wall with enough dip in it to crash into the net. Chelsea goalkeeper Willy Caballero had no chance of getting near the ball. And just like that, Manchester United were 2-1 up in the game and Chelsea looking at a possible elimination from the Carabao Cup.
United loved that strike for sure
I mean... it's just ridiculous really, isn't it? 🤯#MUFC @MarcusRashford pic.twitter.com/cGUtHp3oAb

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also drew comparisons between Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo as he expressed his delight on MUTV. Solskjaer believes that the hours of practice that the striker has put in training seemed to have paid off which should come as a big boost to his confidence.
Wednesday's win over Chelsea extended the winning streak to three successive games for United, who would be eager to keep this momentum going. Along with this, United fans have been very pleased with the strike partnership between Marcus Rashford and Daniel James. Manchester United will be taking on Bournemouth next on Saturday, November 2 in the Premier League.
