Brescia played hosts to Antonio Conte's reinvigorated Inter Milan, as the Nerazzurri looked to settle on top of the Serie A table. A fortuitous goal from Lautaro Martinez, followed by a stunning strike from Romelu Lukaku sealed the win for the visitors in their Serie A fixture. The three points mean that Antonio Conte's Inter Milan are currently top of the Serie A table, with 25 points from the 10 games so far. Whether Inter Milan sit on top of the Serie A table for the week remains to be seen, as Juventus will have a chance of overtaking Inter Milan when they welcome Genoa at the Allianz Stadium.
Just after the 20-minute mark, in-form striker Lautaro Martinez tried his luck from distance. His effort deflected off Brescia defender Andrea Cistana and looped over the Brescia goalkeeper to give Inter Milan the lead. Enrico Alfonso, who was making his debut for Brescia in the game, was left stranded as all he could do was watch the ball loop over him and hit the back of the net.

Sandro Tonali, who is linked with a move to the two Manchester clubs in England, threatened to equalise for the hosts in the 24th minute. The 19-year old's ambitious effort was saved comfortably by Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic. Mario Balotelli, who signed for Brescia as a free agent this season, then decided to once again call Handanovic into action as he unleashed a venomous shot from just outside the box. Handanovic dived to his right, as he parried away Balotelli's stinging effort.
Brescia made a flying start to the second half, as they threatened to equalise a number of times. It was then Lukaku's turn to shine some daylight between Inter Milan and their opponents. Just after an hour of play, Romelu Lukaku ran at the Brescia defence to unleash a curling effort from distance. His effort nestled in the top-left corner of the Brescia goal as the Belgian doubled Inter's lead.
