Juventus have been in fine form during the 2019-20 Serie A season. Apart from Inter Milan, Juventus are the only other team in the Serie A to remain unbeaten in the domestic league. Maurizio Sarri’s squad will play host to German club Bayer 04 Leverkusen on matchday two of the UEFA Champions League on October 2, 2019. Here is our take on both teams who take the pitch at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday.
UEFA Champions League: Maurizio Sarri heaps praise on Bayer Leverkusen
🎙 Sarri: "Tomorrow we have a difficult game against a very strong opponent. @bayer04_en are the team that have had the most possession this season in the @Bundesliga_EN and are strong physically and good at dribbling."#JuveB04 #JuveUCL pic.twitter.com/km2m2iAWIC

Juventus hope to register first UCL win
Juventus registered a 2-2 draw against Atletico Madrid in their opening UCL tie this season. The Old Lady will meet Bayer 04 Leverkusen on matchday two of the UEFA Champions League. Juventus are currently winless in their last four matches against German opposition in Europe. Sarri will hope his star-studded squad will be able to end their wait by bagging all three points at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday.
Leverkusen look to bounce back from opening day defeat
Peter Bosz's Bayer Leverkusen have endured a tough start to their 2019-20 season. Bayer are sixth in the Bundesliga and suffered a shock 1-2 loss against Lokomotiv FC in their opening UEFA Champions League tie. However, the German side has only won twice in 10 matches against Italian opposition (W2 D4 L4). Bayer remain unbeaten in their last five away matches in the UCL. Their last loss in Europe came at the hands of Italian giants - Roma - on November 2015. One can expect the Germans to put up a tough fight against Ronaldo & Co. on Wednesday in Rome.
