PKL 2019 semi-finals: BLR vs DEL
BLR vs DEL – Bengaluru Bulls
With Pawan Kumar Sehrawat in their team, Bengaluru Bulls have soared high this PKL season. Sehrawat has single-handedly steered the team into the semi-finals, including his record-breaking 39 raid points in their match against UP Yoddha. Their eliminator with UP Yoddha was the first time a PKL qualifier match has tied, resulting in extra time. The Hi-Flyer scored 20 raid points, which includes two four-point Super Raids. Sumit Singh has also been an integral part of Bengaluru Bulls’ raiding unit, as his raids were crucial in reviving Sehrawat from the bench. For defence, Mahender Singh has been their top defender with 59 tackle points. Bengaluru Bulls’ defence has been less successful than their attack, and will hence need a solid game plan to prevail over Joginder Narwal’s men.
BLR vs DEL – Dabang Delhi KC
Except for a few losses, Dabang Delhi KC has had a perfect PKL season. Under Joginder Narwal’s captaincy, Delhi has struck the perfect balance of attack and defence. Naveen Kumar has led Dabang Delhi to their maiden semi-final game with his exceptional raiding skills. The youngster currently holds the league record for 19 consecutive Super 10s. Chandran Ranjit and Vijay have also performed consistently, scoring 110 and 43 raid points respectively. Dabang Delhi KC has an average of 21.91 raid points per game. Ravinder Pahal leads their defence with 59 tackle points in PKL 2019. Combined with veteran Joginder Narwal and cover defenders Vishal Mane and Amit Kumar, Dabang Delhi’s defensive unit is as impressive as their raiding unit. Dabang Delhi’s last match before the league stages with U Mumba ended in a 37-37 tie.
