Boxing: Vijender Singh’s take on the fight
Vijender Singh holds a boxing record of 11 wins with no losses, which include eight knockouts and he believes that he can end this year on a winning note. The Indian has had rigorous training sessions for more than two months and he feels that he is fully prepared to take over the former Commonwealth super-middleweight champion. On the other hand, Charles is an experienced opponent and Vijender can expect a tough test due to having greater experience in such fights over the Indian star. But Vijender believes that once he starts landing shots, Charles will surely go down. The undefeated boxer further expressed his urge to go for a world title in 2020 and feels that his upcoming fight is going to build him up for that.
However, Charles naturally feels that he is capable enough of ending Vijender Singh’s win streak. “If he thinks I’ll be one of his earlier opponents whom he’ll brush by, then he’s very mistaken,” said the two-time former Commonwealth super-middleweight Champion, who also plans to put up a tactical masterclass which Vijender has never seen before. On November 22, all the doubts will be clear when these two men lock their horns inside the ring.
Boxing: Tyson Fury wants Vijender Singh to win a World title
The undefeated heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury has noticed Vijender Singh’s performance and ‘The Gypsy King’ feels that the Indian is on his way to win a world title. Fury added that Vijender is a great ambassador for Indian boxing and his journey has been terrific so far. If Vijender manages to defeat Charles on November 22, he can surely head towards the world title with a record of 12 wins and no losses.
