Half-blind after a failed suicide attempt, Sacramento's Drew Robinson picked up his first hit of the season for the Rivercats in their 11-10 loss to the Las Vegas Aviators Saturday.
On 16 April, 2020, Drew Robinson attempted suicide but the bullet took just his right eye and left him alive. Robinson recovered and returned to baseball.
Playing his third game with Sacramento, the San Francisco Giants' Triple-A affiliate, Robinson hit a pitch from Conner Menez into left field for his first hit of the season.
Later in the game he also made an impressive diving catch to rob Pete Kozma of a hit.
