Kiren Rijiju hails Manika Batra's fitness routine, shares video
Kiren Rijiju posted a video of Commonwealth Games Gold medalist Manika Batra's intense workout routine to support the Fit India movement launched by PM Modi
The Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Kiren Rijiju, took to Twitter on Tuesday to support the Fit India Movement launched by PM Modi and posted a video of table tennis star Manika Batra. In the video, Batra, who won two Gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in 2018 at Gold Coast and a bronze medal in the Jakarta Palembang, 2018, is seen engaging in an intense workout routine. Kiren Rijiju has tweeted many such posts encouraging the Fit India movement by posting about fitness and exercise. The tweet said, “Hardwork and fitness are the only means to success.”

Manika Batra is a professional table tennis player ranked 47th in the world as of January 2019, and has won several medals. She also posted a video containing a strong message about fitness, encouraging everyone to stay fit physically and mentally. Kiren Rijiju has also shared Narendra Modi's message about Fitness on his social media handle to spread awareness about health.
In the video, Batra can be seen doing quick movements from one side of the table to another while touching the edges. Following that she does side-to-side hops with a ball in her hand, and finally, she is seen holding a squat and a plank routine.
Earlier, Anand Mahindra had tweeted a similar video of PV Sindhu working out with a sequence of intensive routines. He tweeted, "Brutal. I’m exhausted just watching this. But now there’s no mystery about why she’s the World Champ." He had also posted a video of PV Sindhu's match complimenting her for the 'narrow saves' by saying, 'It will make clear how much her success is linked to her rigorous workouts.'
Fit India Movement:
The Fit India Movement was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 29 in New Delhi. The event consisted of many performances and acts by students and dancers. The acts depicted how the various activities like yoga, dances, and martial arts of India keep us strong and healthy. The event ended with PM Modi addressing the audience and conveying his message of how our mind remains fit if our body is fit. Many athletes took the Fit India pledge promoting health.
