Mercedes have already pocketed the Constructor's Championship for the 2019 season and champion driver Lewis Hamilton is one race away from claiming his sixth World Championship. An eighth-place finish or higher is all that the British driver requires at this weekend’s United States Grand Prix and he reckons that it would be 'pretty unreal' for him to achieve this feat.
Speaking to the official F1 website, Hamilton said that he never thought he would have five titles and he's continuing to achieve dreams that he didn’t think he would have. He feels privileged to win five world titles and winning the sixth would be pretty unreal.
Lewis Hamilton 2019 season and record at Austin
When it comes to qualifying for races, Hamilton has secured only four poles, while his Ferrari rival Charles Leclerc has won seven. The British driver has been super consistent – scoring points in every race, with 15 of them on podiums.
Hamilton has an impressive record at Austin with four wins in the last five years. With a 74-point cushion over Bottas, the Mercedes driver will be the clear favourite to lift the championship.

The 34-year-old feels that the team tries to get better every year, try to apply themselves better, get their balance energy levels better and make sure the communication is there through meetings and the process through the weekend so that the results are delivered on a consistent basis.
Lewis Hamilton on his racing career ahead
Hamilton said that he wants to keep racing for more years and also win every year. He feels that he has not hit the peak yet, so that’s comforting.
Should Hamilton win one of the last three races, he would equal his best season tally of 11 – although he admitted it wasn’t a stat that had been on his mind. The Mercedes driver said that within the team, they often forget how many wins the team have this year as they are so focused on each race
