Indian table tennis player Manika Batra on October 26, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his initiative to empower women in the nation and said his effort motivates everyone to go ahead and shine in life. Manika mentioned the same in her tweet on Saturday. The Tennis star's tweet came sometime after Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju said that Modi had appealed to everyone to celebrate the extraordinary success of women of India. Rijiju had earlier praised Batra for spending quality time, from her rigorous training regime, to play with orphans at India Khelega Centre in Pune.

Other players who hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Six-time World Champion Mary Kom also hailed the PM for the initiative to honour and empower women this Diwali. PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal, Dadi Chandro Tomar, and other players also hailed Modi in their tweets. Nehwal said that the acknowledgement will make her work more hard for India. The same was tweeted by all the players.
