NBA: Joel Embiid, Karl-Anthony Towns brawl on court & social media

Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns were embroiled in a gruesome fight as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated Minnesota Timberwolves by a scoreline of 117-95 at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, October 31. The two NBA athletes wrestled each other during the game and the fight ended with Ben Simmons choking Towns as Embiid added fuel to the fire by instigating the crowd. The brawl ended with Embiid and Towns being asked to leave the basketball court by the match referee.

NBA: Embiid-KAT clash with each other on social media

Just last week, Joel Embiid claimed that he was a changed man and he was done 'trash talking' about other players in the NBA. But some things can never change. The Wolves' player was the first one to fire shots aimed at KAT when he posted the above picture on Instagram with the hashtag #Fightnight. KAT was quick to retaliate as he went on to use the clown emoji while talking about Embiid and added a photo of the 76ixers star crying following last season’s heartbreaking loss to eventual NBA champions Toronto Raptors in the playoffs. Embiid hit back at Towns as he pointed out that the latter had never played in a playoff game and went on to spew a line of profane insults on social media that ended with “Don’t get it twisted I OWN YOU.”
