NBA: Draymond Green regrets fight with ex-GSW teammate Kevin Durant
NBA: Last season Green and Durant got into an on-court disagreement in a regular-season game against LA Clippers after Green grabbed a rebound and did not pass.
Golden State Warriors (GSW) fans won't forget the day when Draymond Green lashed out at his former teammate Kevin Durant after a loss to the LA Clippers in their NBA clash last season. With Green apologizing to Durant after the incident, it looks like the duo had moved on following the incident.
This season though, things are very different with Durant leaving GSW for Brooklyn Nets. However, Green admitted in a leading sports podcast that he was probably wrong in lashing out at his teammate.
He admitted the fact that once he was able to get over his stubbornness and accept his mistake, he was able to move on.
NBA: Draymond Green's fight with Kevin Durant during Golden State Warriors game
Last season, Green and Durant got into an on-court disagreement last November in a regular-season game against the Clippers after Green grabbed a rebound and didn't pass to Durant, who was open. The incident went till the locker room after which Green was suspended for one game without pay for conduct. Green said that he lost Durant’s trust and didn't know how to get back. He also said that he loved him like his brother.
Green also opened up about how he denied coach Steve Kerr's order to apologize to Durant. He said that Kerr asked him to apologize to Durant and he didn’t do that just because he had to come to grips with himself over the incident. He also saw a look on Durant's face that showed that he was hurt and what bothered him more than anything was that he had no clue on how to fix things between the two.
