The National Basketball League (NBA) will debut in India as part of its vision to expand the popularity of the sport in South Asian countries. NBA, one of the most popular leagues in the world, is expecting to widen its global reputation and command more market share by expanding hold in the Asian sub-continent. As part of this globalisation move, the NBA announced that Sacramento Kings and the Indiana Pacers will travel to India and play two matches on October 4 and 5 respectively. NBA India: Kings vs Pacers - A historic moment

The match between Sacrmaento Kings and Indiana Pacers is something that Indian basketbal fans have yearned since a long time. Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive and the Reliance Foundation, along with NBA, came together to help fulfil a dream which could serve as the defining moment for the sport across the country. Along with these two matches, the NBA will also be conducting activities to generate awareness around the game over the course of the week. They will also begin an NBA India junior basketball program with aspirations of picking up players from the grassroots levels.

NBA India: When and where to watch the live game?

Friday and Saturday night's matches will be broadcast across television for Indian and international audiences. Sony Pictures Sports Network have exclusive rights to broadcast the games in India. So, the telecast will most likely happen on Sony Ten 1, Sony Six. Just in case you cannot catch the game on your TV set, the NBA India Games 2019 can also be streamed on sonyliv.com.
