Antonio Brown fires shocking tweet at Patriots owner Robert Kraft
Antonio Brown was let go by the New England Patriots in September after accusations of rape and sexual assault. Brown has now apologised to the Patriots owner.
Four-time NFL first-team All-Pro Antonio Brown recently tweeted an apology towards New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft. In his tweet, Antonio Brown apologised to the Patriots, saying that he was sorry for bringing the "bad media" and the "drama" to the organisation. Brown played just one game in the NFL for the New England Patriots before his release on September 20 amid accusations of sexual assault.
Antonio Brown issues an apology
After his release, Antonio Brown went on to post a tweet about Patriots owner Robert Kraft after Kraft was charged with soliciting a prostitute in Florida. Brown has since deleted the tweet. Antonio Brown's apology comes at a time when the former All-Pro wide receiver finds himself without a team in the NFL. Interestingly, a day before he posted his apology, Antonio Brown shared someone else's post as a story on his Instagram which featured Brown photoshopped in a Philadelphia Eagles jersey with the caption, "it's time".
Antonio Brown signed for the Patriots after his acrimonious departure from Oakland Raiders. Brown was involved in a dispute with the Raiders' general manager Mike Mayock over personal fines for missed practices. Since being cut by the Patriots, Antonio Brown has filed grievances against the Raiders and Patriots in the hope of recouping some of the lost salaries between both franchises. There has been some speculation regarding whether Antonio Brown's apology could be a plea of returning to the NFL. Meanwhile, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has admitted that the Patriots are struggling offensively. Could it all be falling into place for Antonio Brown very soon?
