U Mumba will try to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the playoffs when they take on Tamil Thalaivas in the 116th match of Pro Kabaddi 2019 at the Tau Devilal Sports Complex in Panchkula. Thalaivas faced a brutal defeat against UP Yoddha, 42-22. The last time they won was against Gujarat on August 10, 2019. Without their star players Ajay Thakur, Manjeet Chhillar, Rahul Chaudhari and V Ajith Kumar, the Tamil Thalaivas are in a really bad place. There are also rumours that Ajay Thakur will be ending his PKL career as he missed the majority of matches because of injury. Their defence unit had also showcased decent performance, with Ran Singh leading the charge.

U Mumba are currently resting on the sixth spot and will like to deliver a performance which can secure their position in the playoffs. Their last performance against Bengaluru Bulls was not up to the point as star players Fazel Atrachali and Sandeep Narwal failed to gather points. However, Surinder Singh is in good form, and with the help of his teammates, he can work wonders. In the last game, the duo of Abhishek Singh and MS Athul displayed a good performance and gathered 19 points in total for U Mumba. They will be hoping to show the same performance when they meet the Thalaivas.
