Roman Reigns has been one of the top megastars of the WWE since the past few years. Roman Reigns cultivated a huge fan base amongst WWE fans across age groups. He made sure that he did justice to WWE after they decided to make him the face of their company which is a position given to the likes of Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena, and Randy Orton to name a few. Roman Reigns is a four-time world champion, his accomplishments include three WWE Championships and one WWE Universal Championship title reign. At Wrestlemania 33 (2017), Roman Reigns had handed the Undertaker his second defeat of his career at the mega event. Roman Reigns seemed to be unstoppable before he was diagnosed with leukaemia.

Roman Reigns and his battle with leukaemia

On October 22, 2018 edition of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns shocked one and all when he had relinquished the WWE Universal Championship after it was revealed that he had been diagnosed with leukaemia. In fact, Reigns was battling with this disease since the last 11 years. He was first diagnosed with leukaemia back in 2007 when he was signed to the Minnesota Vikings. Later, on February 25, 2019 edition of Raw, Roman Reigns returned and announced that his leukaemia is once again in remission.

Some fans wonder whether Reigns indeed had leukaemia

When a fit-again Roman Reigns made his successful comeback earlier this year, some wrestling fans wondered whether the Big Dog indeed sick or was the WWE star bluffing. However, the former Universal Champion made everything clear while speaking to a UK-based magazine. In the interview, Roman Reigns made a huge statement to those fans who were doubting his life-threatening illness. The ex-WWE Champion said that there is ignorance of leukaemia and that the word alone is intimidating. Reigns then went on to explain that leukaemia sounds like a cancer word which could take your whole life but what people haven’t realized is the different phases. The leader of the 'Shield' also wanted people to understand that it is not what they see in movies and that we are making advancements in the treatment of the disease. Roman Reigns concluded by saying there are things which are done to help people and save lives but one does not always concentrate on those things.
