After a great UFC 242, the next PPV UFC 243 is going to feature the middleweight clash between champion Robert Whittaker against interim champion Israel Adesanya for the main event. UFC 243 is going to take place at Marvel Stadium in Australia on October 5. Lightweight contender Al Iaquinta will fight Dan Hooker for the co-main event at UFC 243 with a heavyweight bout between Tai Tuivasa and Sergey Spivak. UFC 243 is going to be another UFC event with a massive Australian crowd cheering for their home champion at the main event.

The main event will feature Australian champion Robert Whittaker against Israel Adesanya. The other fights of the main card will feature Al Iaquinta vs Dan Hooker (lightweight), Tai Tuivasa vs Sergey Spivak (heavyweight), Luke Jumeau vs Dhiego Lima (welterweight). The preliminary card of UFC 243 also looks stacked with Jake Matthews vs Rostem Akman (welterweight), Justin Tafa vs Yorgan De Castro (heavyweight), Callan Potter vs Maki Pitolo (welterweight) and Megan Anderson vs Zarah Fairn Dos Santos (women’s featherweight). The early preliminary card will feature three fights for UFC 243. Jammie Mullarkey will go against Brad Riddell in the lightweight bout, Nadia Kassem will fight Ji Yeon Kim in Women’s flyweight bout while Khalid Taha and Bruno Silva will clash against each other in a bantamweight bout.

The card was stacked with a rematch of Raquel Pennington and Former Women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm. However, Holly will not fight at UFC 243. The former champion is suffering from an injury and her exit from the match card was declared through Instagram. In the previous fight, Holly Holm defeated Raquel in a split decision while many MMA fans claimed that Raquel won the fight. The rematch between two of the best women martial artists of the planet is on hold for now.
The fight between Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker is a highly discussed fight. The Styleblender has defeated the veteran Anderson Silva and Kevin Gastelum in his last two fights and is yet to lose a fight in UFC. If Adesanya beats Whittaker, he will be the first Nigerian-New Zealand fighter to win a UFC gold in the division. Israel is the second Nigerian fighter to win a UFC belt after Kamaru Usman.
