UFC: Conor McGregor could face legal charges for pub brawl in April

Conor McGregor is reportedly facing a single charge of assault for punching an old man in Dublin a few weeks back and he had to appear in the court. The former UFC Double Champ has recently announced his comeback in January 2020 after a lot of speculations, but it seems that his personal life drama is still nowhere close to ending. Conor McGregor has faced a lot of legal charges in recent times and it is surely troubling the Irishman ahead of his UFC return. He was allegedly charged for breaking a fan’s mobile few months back, then a sexual assault charge was raised against him and now McGregor has to attend court sessions for punching an old man in a pub of Dublin on April 6.

Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor had to appear in court on Friday for his alleged punch over the old man’s face. According to the complaint filed, Conor McGregor punched an old man named Desmond Keogh at Marble Arch pub in Drimnagh on April 6. McGregor was promoting his Irish whiskey ‘Proper 12’ and Desmond refused to try it, the former double champ didn’t like it and allegedly assaulted Desmond. Conor McGregor appeared in court briefly and said that he would enter a plea. The case was adjourned for a while after that. Have a look at the CCTV footage that caught Conor punching the man.
UFC: Conor McGregor's UFC Status
Conor McGregor has been out of UFC since his loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. However, after a lot of callouts and social-media beef, Conor has finally announced his return. In his latest press meet, McGregor said that he does not care about his opponent and he will fight anyone UFC offers him to. However, he has surely expressed his urge to fight the winner of BMF belt first and the winner of Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov next. The recent legal tensions can hamper Conor McGregor's UFC plans and there can be a delay in his UFC return.
