UFC: Conor McGregor vs Donald Cerrone is on the way

The megafight between two UFC veterans is yet not confirmed by the promotion but Conor McGregor’s manager has confirmed that McGregor is interested in the fight and the paperwork is already in process. After facing a crushing defeat against lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, Conor McGregor stayed out of the sport for a while but he kept on hinting the fans about his return on many occasions. Donald Cerrone’s name popped up among them but it never went to this far, until now.

“We’ve met them, we’re in close communication with them. I would hope that an announcement could happen in the coming weeks, but at the end of the day, it’s still a work in progress,” said Audi Attar (McGregor’s manager) in an interview.

Audi Attar also believes that Conor McGregor needs to stay active in the sport for getting back in the winning track. According to him, when McGregor was dominating the sport he was active, and he was not fighting just once in a year.
