The UFC 244 main-event fight with Jorge Masvidal did not go well for Nate Diaz. The highly anticipated BMF got concluded by a doctor-stoppage when Diaz got brutally bruised with two severe cuts over his right eye. Masvidal got the BMF title after dominating the entire three rounds of the match and handed Diaz his first TKO loss. However, the ‘Stockton Gangsta’ claimed that he was going to change the game in the final rounds since he was saving energy for them but that did not go well for the younger Diaz again. British fighter-turned-commentator Michael Bisping has slammed Nate Diaz for making such a claim and gave Masvidal the upper hand.
UFC: Michael Bisping rubbishes Nate Diaz’s claim
According to Bisping, the former UFC middleweight champion, there is no such game plan as saving energy for final rounds when you are getting beaten up that bad. Bisping feels that Masvidal came in the match as a madman and Diaz had no control over the fight at all. In his own podcast show, Bisping said that Masvidal dropped Diaz to the ground and made a mockery out of him in front of the whole world and when something like these happens, no world-class fighters wait for the final rounds. It was clear that the former British champion absolutely disagreed with Nate Diaz’s statement and took Mike Tyson’s instance for slamming the younger Diaz.
"Once again to quote the great Mike Tyson, 'Everybody has a game plan until you get punched in the face,' or punched in the face repeatedly, dropped to the floor and nearly knocked out on multiple occasions," said Michael Bisping.

Nate Diaz was not happy with the result of the fight and said that he would like to run it back with Jorge Masvidal in the post-fight interview but his social media gestures turned up differently. Nate Diaz revealed that he is taking a sabbatical from fighting for a while as he will be taking a world tour. President Dana White ruled out the possibility of the re-match too and we might not see Nate Diaz inside the Octagon anytime soon.
