Williams F1 development driver and W Series 2019 champion Jamie Chadwick has taken a significant step towards realising her F1 dream by signing for the Italian Prema Powerteam, following support from Rodin Cars' multi-millionaire boss David Dicker.
The move means Chadwick will compete in the Regional F3 European championship from August, following in the footsteps of current F1 drivers Nicholas Latifi, Esteban Ocon and Lance Stroll - a certain Charles Leclerc drove for the team in F2.
Describing Prema as "one of the most renowned junior motorsport teams outside of F1", Chadwick couldn't hide her delight at the announcement during an exclusive interview with SNTV.
The 22-year-old Briton was speaking from Mugello, Italy, where she had been testing on a circuit rumoured to be hosting an F1 race in 2020.
When asked about it's suitability to host the likes of Lewis Hamilton and company, Chadwick replied - "I couldn't think of anything better."
The 'epic', 'old school' high-speed circuit has in the last week been described by ex-F1 driver Mark Webber as a 'neckbreaker'.
