While most people will know Donald Trump as the President of the USA, he has been involved with the WWE from the fourth edition of. Wrestlemania 4 and 5 were hosted at the Trump Plaza. Because of Trump's reality show popularity, he has appeared sporadically on WWE through the 2000s too. The rivalry with Vince McMahon began when Trump did not like how Vince represented his rival Rosie O'Donnell in a match that happened on RAW a few weeks ago.
Trump proposed a "Battle of the Billionaires" where he would fight Vince but the latter declined explaining that his physician had adviced him to never fight again as he had sustained an injury. The duo then agreed to select a representative wrestler who would fight on their behalf. Trump then introduced higher stakes when he proposed that if Vince's representative lost the match, Vince would have his head shaved. If Trump's wrestler lost, he would lose his hair. After some reluctance, Vince agreed.
Battle of the Billionaires
The main event at Wrestlemania 23 garnered a great audience. Bobby Lashley was representing Trump, while Umaga was representing Vince. The match took place and Umaga seemed to win it until Stone Cold, in a referee shirt, interfered and took out the actual referee who was officiating the match. A surprised Vince, by ringside, was giving Stone Cold a piece of his mind when out-of-nowhere, Trump delivered a clothesline on Vince and beat him up as the crowd roared. Inside the ring, Stone Cold delivered a Stunner to Umaga which gave Lashley enough momentum to hit Umaga with a Spear.
Stone Cold counted to three and Trump had won. Vince tried escaping but Lashley manhandled him back into the ring where he was handcuffed to a barber's chair. Trump and Lashley then proceeded to shave McMahon's hair as the crowd laughed their stomachs out. And that was - 'The Battle of the Billionaires'.
