This week’s RAW started with Seth Rollins coming to the ring and addressing the upcoming brawl with the winner of the Fatal 5-Way match. He then promised the WWE universe that he will defeat ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt at Hell in a Cell, just like he defeated Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. Strowman took exception to Rollins' words and hit the ring. He said that if Rollins wants to say something, he can say it to his face. After a lot of bad-mouthing, Rollins offered Strowman to fight later tonight, Strowman accepted the challenge. The Monday Night RAW was filled with great fights and upcoming opportunities.
The Vikings vs The O.C.
The hard-hitting rivalry between The Viking and The O.C.'s continued at RAW. The Raiders dominated the match early but OC’s made a good comeback. Interference from AJ Styles to help the OCs led to his dismissal and a forced Cedric Alexander to make a comeback to the ring. At the later part of the match, the duo of Erik and Ivar put Anderson away for the hard-fought victory.
Nikki Cross vs Sasha Banks
The match started with Cross gaining the early lead, but Banks answered with double knees for two-count. The Tag Team champion then fired up and delivered a big running bulldog for her two-count. Banks recovered soon enough as she kicked her opponent's leg. But the scot answered with her trademark tenacity and sent Banks shoulder-first into the steel post. The brawl on and off the ring until Cross trapped Banks and started punishing her by some forearms to the chest. The Boss then tried to sneak up with a backstabber, but was caught with a twisting neck-breaker by Cross. Bayley then jumped in the Ring and prevented a pinfall. Banks got a chance to recover and forced the tap-out with the Bank Statement.
The Fatal 5-way Match
Rey Mysterio won the Fatal 5-way Match and will face Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal title. Rey went up against Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, AJ Styles and Robert Roode. Rey lucked out as the heavyweights cancelled each other out, leaving Rey responsible for eliminating just one – Roode – to claim victory. The upcoming title match is scheduled for next week.
