WWE SmackDown: Banks and Bayley defeat Charlotte and Carmella
Banks and Bayley wrestled Charlotte and Carmella for a tag team match as the WWE SmackDown came to an end. Let us take a look at who won the bout this week.
WWE SmackDown Live this week shifted from USA Network to Fox. SmackDown Live will also be moved to Friday instead of Tuesday. According to both WWE and Fox, various changes to the format are being made. Roman Reigns spoke about clearing all misunderstanding with Daniel Bryan along with Kofi Kingston accepting Brock Lesnar’s challenge. For this week’s first tag team challenge, Charlotte Flair and Carmella fought Sasha Banks and Bayley.

For this match, the 24/7 rule was suspended. Charlotte Flair had to go through R-Truth to find Carmella, who promised that she would be focused during their tag team match. Though Carmella gave the fight her best, she and The Queen could not dominate Bayley and Banks. The Boss then caught Carmella in a Bank Statement for a tapout. R-Truth had to carry the 24/7 champion to safety as Bayley and Banks pursued him. As Flair was left alone, The Boss ‘n’ Hug connection brought her down. However, Becky Lynch stormed the ring. She locked Banks, her number one contender, in the Dis-arm-her. It was The Hugger who pulled Banks back to safety.
For a Bayley and Carmella tag team match, this one felt a bit hasty. As Carmella is now the much-deserved 24/7 champion, fans believe that her focus has shifted. Despite everything, The Four Horsewoman continue to dominate the WWE SmackDown. Becky Lynch, determined to be the Man, came to The Queen’s aid once again. As of now, the two rivals seem to have rekindled their friendship. Daniel Bryan vs Erick Rowan, Chad Gable vs Mike Kanellis, Shinsuke Nakamura vs Ali, The New Day vs. The B-Team, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville vs Asuka and Kairi Sane were the other matches for the day.
