Yuvraj Singh had questioned the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after they released one of the world-class power-hitters in world cricket, Chris Lynn, recently. Chris Lynn was among the 13 players released by the franchise ahead of the December 19 auction in Kolkata. Lynn, however, found some support from his Maratha Arabians teammate Yuvraj Singh after his stellar knock of a 30-ball 91 during Maratha Arabians' T10 match against Team Abu Dhabi where they had registered a 24-run win. Lynn is also the captain of Maratha Arabians. After Yuvi had expressed his displeasure of KKR having released Lynn, he was in for a surprise by the two-time IPL winners.

Yuvraj Singh to play for KKR?

Speaking on the aftermath of Lynn’s release from KKR, former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh said that the management’s decision to release the Australian was a “bad call”. He joked that he might drop a message to one of KKR’s co-owners on that. It seems that the Kolkata franchise has taken the veteran all-rounder's message seriously as KKR CEO Venky Mysore replied to his comments. Taking to the micro-blogging site, Venky Mysore wrote that the reason they had released Chris Lynn was to bid for Yuvi in the upcoming auctions. The KKR CEO then concluded by saying that he loved and respected both the champions (Yuvraj & Lynn).

Chris Lynn: 'No hard feelings towards KKR'

When asked about his views on being released by KKR, Lynn maintained that he was not harboring any bad feelings towards the owners, the management or the head coach. Lynn added that KKR coach Brendon McCullum was only trying to win the team another IPL. Lynn looked optimistic when he added that players 'twice as good as him' had been released by teams, so he really did not have too much to feel bad about. Talking about his IPL future, Lynn said that an innings like the 91* blitz he played was important to stay fresh in the minds of the coaches and owners of the league's franchises. The IPL Auction 2020 will take place at Kolkata on December 19. Chris Lynn is expected to be one of the biggest earners of the auction. He scored 1274 runs for KKR in 40 matches. His highest IPL score is 93*.
