The International Tennis Federation (ITF) postponed the Davis Cup tie between India and Pakistan scheduled to be held in September after the review of the security situation was done in Pakistan by the Independent expert security advisors.
"Following an in-depth security review of the current situation in Pakistan by independent expert security advisors, the Davis Cup Committee has taken the decision to postpone the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group I tie between Pakistan and India in Islamabad, due to be played on September 14-15."

ITF had said in the statement that they will monitor the security situation and will reexamine the situation again before the tournament and the dates will be declared on September 9.
"The Committee concluded that this is an exceptional circumstance while the first priority of the ITF is the safety and security of athletes, officials, and spectators."
The Davis Cup was postponed between India and Pakistan to November by ITF after an in-depth security review of the current situation in Pakistan was done by independent expert security advisors. ITF had received a letter from AITA for a shift in the venue or postponing the tournament for some time. This letter was followed by the revocation of Article 370 after which the situation between India and Pakistan became very tense.
AITA secretary Hiranmoy Chatterjee to Republic TV
"The decision of Davis Cup tie against Pakistan on Nov 29 & 30 is not of AITA (All India Tennis Association). It has been decided by the world body. At the moment I just can't say if we can play against them in Pakistan or not. It depends on the situation. ITF will take a final call on November 4 taking security situation in Islamabad and decide whether it needs to be shifted out."
