Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal could clash in semis at ATP Paris Masters
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have been drawn in the same half and are likely to face each other if they both come through their respective sections of draw.
The long-time rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal could face each other in the semi-finals of the Paris Masters after both of them were drawn in the same half. Should they both come through their respective sections of the draw, it would be their 41st meeting on the court.
Rafel Nadal vs Roger Federer last meeting
The two players last faced each other was at Wimbledon in July and produced an enthralling semi-final battle. Last month, they linked up together for Team Europe at the Laver Cup.
Rafael Nadal fight for ATP no 1 ranking
Apart from facing the prospect of going against Roger Federer, Nadal will also have his eye on Novak Djokovic in the battle for the year-end No 1 ATP Ranking. Nadal currently has the edge over Serbian with a 1,280-point in the ATP Race To London. With 1,000 points up for grabs in Paris and a maximum of 1,500 available at the Nitto ATP Finals, the battle could get even more intense.
Novak Djokovic in another side of the draw
World no 1 Novak Djokovic has been kept on the other side of the draw and will open his campaign against either Dusan Lajovic or Richard Gasquet in the second round. The Serbian could meet Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarter-finals and in-form Daniil Medvedev in the semis.
There are two spots to play for with Alexander Zverev, Matteo Berrettini, Roberto Bautista Agut, David Goffin and Fabio Fognini all needing deep runs.
