WWE: After Crown Jewel, WWE extends partnership with Saudi Arabia

WWE has extended its 10-year strategic multiplatform deal with Saudi Arabia after the recently happened Crown Jewel. Know more details about the partnership

WWE has announced that they have already expanded their partnership with the Saudi General Entertainment Authority through 2027.  As per reports, it will also include a second annual large-scale event and it seems that WWE is interested in Saudi Arabia after a massive showdown at Crown Jewel. Saudi Arabia had its first-ever women’s match in the history of the country through Crown Jewel and we can expect more off WWE from the country. Though a lot of WWE Superstars and staff had to face issues for flight delay after the PPV, WWE has still decided to expand their partnership with Saudi Arabia.

WWE: On the land of Saudi Arabia

According to reports, WWE signed a new 10-year strategic multiplatform partnership with the Saudi Arabian government in 2018 and it has held four events under the deal till now. In April 2018, WWE held the Greatest Royal Rumble, which was the first event under the deal. After that, Crown Jewel(2018), Super ShowDown in June (2019) and the recently happened Crown Jewel (2019) came along. WWE has been holding two events every year since the deal took place and CEO Vince McMahon has decided to extend the partnership after a successful night at Crown Jewel 2019.

WWE: Flight delay in Saudi Arabia

Several WWE Superstars and employees were stuck on the plane due to a delay and it was just about to hamper the immediate Friday Night SmackDown after Crown Jewel. According to reports, Dubai government wanted to do another customs clearance from WWE after everything was done and it caused a huge delay in the flight from Riyadh to Buffalo. The delay in flight at Saudi Arabia created a lot of tension among WWE staff and fans but it seems that WWE is having a healthy affair with the Saudi government after the extension of their partnership.
