Are you ready for an Icon vs Icon match at WrestleMania 36? Randy Orton recently challenged his long-time frenemy John Cena by sharing a picture of the Bumblebee actor on Instagram. Challenging the 16-time world champion, Orton took a cheeky jibe at Cena and asked him whether he is free for WrestleMania 36 or does Hollywood has booked him solid? Along with the message, Orton also shared a picture of a magazine cover which featured John Cena. Orton and Cena have been rival for almost two decades and have provided the WWE Universe with some great matches.
Outside the ring, however, both the wrestlers can be seen teasing each other by sharing pictures and messages on their social media accounts. A few days ago, Orton shared few pictures with a life-size standee of John Cena and in one of the pictures, the Apex predator can also be seen kissing the poster of Cena. Orton shared the pictures by writing “Miss you John Cena” and requested his friend to ask The Rock to face him in WrestleMania 36.
Miss you @JohnCena. 😘 ps: Can you talk to @TheRock and see what his #wrestlemania plans are for 2020? Asking for a friend. pic.twitter.com/Ly222EhUz4

WWE: Randy Orton challenged The Rock
Before challenging John Cena, Randy Orton challenged The Rock when the great one was about to make his return in the debut episode of SmackDown on FOX. Orton took to Twitter a day before the show and asked The Rock to face him at the upcoming WrestleMania. But all his planning turned to dust as The Rock appeared on SmackDown and had a segment with WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and King Corbin.
.@TheRock I see you will be at #SmackdownOnFox this Friday. How about you & I have a discussion about who’s the greatest 3rd generation of all time and we answer that question April 5th in Tampa At Wrestlemania 36. A vipers sense of smell is unmatched. I smell what you’re cooking

The last time, WWE Universe saw The Rock and Orton together was in 2004, when The Rock made his return to WWE and got into a verbal fight with Randy Orton. The Rock destroyed Orton with his trash talk and Orton who was the face of WWE back then, also received a Rock Bottom from the great one. The segment was well received by WWE fans and since then, fans are waiting to see a match between these two.
