WWE: Rusev plans to return to Saudi Arabia to make a lot of money

WWE star Rusev recently gave an interview to a publication, where he recounted his experience in Saudi Arabia. Rusev was in Saudi to take part in the Crown Jewel event. He, along with 170-odd WWE crew and superstars, was stranded in the country following an issue with their airplane. Many WWE superstars and crew members had to spend over 24 hours in Saudi Arabia before they were able to return to the United States. While waiting to return home, Rusev tweeted, urging his fans to pray for him and his teammates.

In his interview, Rusev explained that the tweet was a result of his religious beliefs. He said that while waiting to return home, the frustration level was so high, that he turned to his faith and the prayers of his fans for solace and strength. Rusev dismissed claims that the WWE contingent was held hostage in Saudi Arabia. He said that he sought prayers from his fans because he was eager to go home and not because he felt like he was a hostage. He noted that it was foolish even to think that someone would try to hold 170 Americans hostage.

Rusev in Saudi Arabia

Rusev had a good run at WWE Crown Jewel, registering a win as part of Team Hogan against Team Flair. When asked if he would like to go back to Saudi Arabia, Rusev said that he would go back because the money was good. Rusev plans to take part in the fifth event to be held in early 2020. Rusev said that every trip to Saudi had been a revelation and an achievement for WWE. He said the company was able to open new doors and create new opportunities, which was terrific, and he wanted to be one of the ambassadors of change.
