‘I Knew I Could Not Control the Shuttle’: Lakshya Sen REVEALS Reason for Loss to Axelsen in Paris

Lakshya Sen, the 23-year-old, emerged as India's big hope at the Paris Olympics 2024. He had his chances against former Olympic champion Victor Axelsen, but squandered it. Sern, who is still trying to cope with the heartbreaking fourth-place finish, has recently revealed the reason that led to his loss in the semi-final. In an interaction in a promotional event in Mumbai on Tuesday, Sen claimed that the loss will hurt him personally for a long time. He also promised he is going to change a lot in the near future to get the results on his side. Lakshya on What Went Wrong vs AxelsenClaiming that he was fighting for every point, Lakshya revealed that the court had some drift in the second game against Axelsen and he admitted that he could not control his shots. “In the second game, that side of the court had some drift. Even after the lead, I knew I could not control the shuttle. And then, the momentum suddenly changed, and he started playing better. Even when he drew level, I was fighting for every point,” Lakshya added. I did not play well at all in the end, and there were a lot of unforced errors.
