PV Sindhu is an Indian badminton player. Sindhu was born in Hyderabad on 5th July 1995. She started playing badminton at the age of eight. She later joined coach Pullela Gopichand's academy. Sindhu started winning titles in the Under10 and Under13 categories. In 2012 she won a Gold at the Asian Junior Championship. Since then the 24-year-old PV Sindhu has been undefeatable. Recently she became the first Indian to secure a Gold at the Badminton World Championship in August 2019.
