Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki retired from the NBA at the end of the last season. His competitive rivalry with the Los Angeles Lakers earned him so much respect that the Lakers decided to give him a proper tribute when the Mavericks visited the Staples Center on Sunday night (Monday morning, IST).

On Sunday, when Lakers hosted Mavericks, Dirk Nowitzki was present courtside to root for his beloved Mavericks. The Lakers took this opportunity to greet the legend with a standing ovation followed by a video tribute for Nowitzki stating 'Thank You, Dirk.'
