The 2019-20 season has seen Miami Heat struggling on the court and having a poor start to the season. This is the first time that the team will be without Dwyane Wade in well over a decade after the legend retired last season. The future Hall of Famer was was on sidelines to watch Miami take on the Los Angeles Lakers. Along with Wade, his former Heat teammates also sat courtside to watch the game.
Wade took to Instagram and posted an image in which he said that as he walked into the Staples Centre to watch between game between Miami Heat and LA Lakers, he did not know how he would feel. He also added that with this game being his first that he watched live since his retirement, he could honestly say he did not have the urge to play last night. He knows for a fact now that he is peacefully retired.
Kevin Durant reacts to Dwyane Wade's post
Former Oklahoma Thunder and Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant feels that Wade should come out retirement and join the league once again. Durant, who recently signed for Brooklyn Nets from the Golden State Warriors, will not be playing this season due to his recovery from a ruptured Achilles during the 2019 NBA Finals. Durant had returned from an injured calf muscle he sustained in the post-season for Game 5 of the NBA Finals but lasted only 12 minutes before leaving with a more severe injury.
Wade took to Instagram following that game to express his sense of peace with his own retirement. However, Durant doesn’t seem to agree with Wade’s sentiment. No matter how much Durant or anyone else begs Wade to come back, it seems like the three-time champ is more than happy with his decision.
