LeBron James was 'scared' to leave Cavaliers in 2010, reveals Lakers' Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis has so far had quite an impact season for Los Angeles Lakers and along with LeBron James after forming a formidable partnership as they both eye for NBA title.

In an interview with US sports website, Davis revealed that James told him he was “scared as sh*t” to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2010 the year in which he signed with Miami Heat to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. James received a lot of backlash for his move that year.

Interestingly, Davis also went through the same experience after forcing his way out of New Orleans Pelicans for a move to LA Lakers. During the interview, Davis admitted that he had asked James about his emotions when he moved to Miami and James replied by saying that he was 'scared as sh*t.’

Davis said that he also felt the same thing what James felt since he was accustomed to being in New Orleans, and he loved that city. He added that friends turned family, owned multiple properties and New Orleans was a part of him and it was tough for him to walk away from that.

Anthony Davis' career at Pelicans

Davis averaged 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.4 blocks in 466 games with the Pelicans. As Lakers prepare to take on Pelicans, Davis is not expecting the warmest of receptions when he faces his former team in New Orleans.

Recently, after Lakers beat Golden State Warriors, Steve Kerr offered some serious words of praise for LeBron James, saying James was 'probably the best athlete to have ever walked this planet'.
