Luka Doncic is all set to make his first ever NBA Finals appearance when he sets foot with the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 at the TD Garden against the Boston Celtics. 

At the start of the season, No one expected Dallas Mavericks to be playing in the finals. But inspired by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the Dallas Mavericks are just four wins away from winning their second championship in franchise history.

Luka Doncic has been their superstar main man in this playoffs run and he was also awarded the Magic Johson trophy for being the Western Conference Finals MVP. 

What makes Luka Doncic's playoff run even more impressive is that he has done all this while struggling from a knee and ankle injury throughout the post season. Heading into game 1 of the NBA Finals, here is an injury update on Luka Doncic.

Luka Doncic Injury Update

There was never any doubt over whether Luka Doncic was going to play game 1 of the NBA Finals or not. But in good news to Dallas Mavericks fans, Luka Doncic's injury status has been upgraded to probable compared to their last game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Western Conference Finals.

According to the official injury report, Luka Doncic has been listed as probable for the contest with a right knee sprain and left ankle soreness. 

The Mavericks have their two centers in Maxi Kleber and Dereck Lively fit and back firing on all cylinders.
