NBA 2019-20: Warriors suffer yet another loss, succumb to Pelicans in recent defeat

The New Orleans Pelicans defeating a reeling Golden State Warriors in a 102-100 victory on Monday, November 18 IST (Sunday, November 17 PST). The match took place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. JJ Redick finished the game with 26 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Jrue Holiday added 22 points. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Nicolo Melli added 19 and 16 points respectively. Alexander-Walker shot 5 three-pointers. Jaxson Hayes recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks.

Eric Paschall scored game-high 30 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Ky Bowman and Glenn Robinson III added 19 and 14 points respectively. Marquese Chriss scored 10 points.

NBA 2019-20: New Orleans Pelicans vs Golden State Warriors match report

The Pelicans gained the lead in Q1 after Alexander-Walker's layup which gave them a 23-21 advantage. The Warriors trailed for the majority of the match but reduced their 17 point difference to 77-74 in Q3 after Chriss' tomahawk jam. However, Holiday scored back-to-back free throws, driving layups and a turnaround fade which helped the Pelicans regain their lead. Melli's three-pointer gave the Pelicans a massive 68-51 lead, but the Warriors brought it down to 76-69 at the end of Q3. Holiday shot 4 of 16 till Q3. He then made 5 of 7 in the Q4. Redick hit a three-pointer with 1:09 left on the clock, giving the Pelicans their 8-point lead over the Warriors. The Warriors have now lost seven consecutive matches.
