NBA 2019-20: Philadelphia 76ers beat Cleveland Cavaliers in a thrilling 98-97 encounter

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers by just one point, winning 98-97 on November 13. The match took place in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, USA. Joel Embiid was the top scorer for the Sixers with 27 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists, including 3 three-pointers. Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson and Furkan Korkmaz scored 15, 17 and 10 points respectively. Kevin Love and Jordan Clarkson both scored 20 points for the Cavaliers. Collin Sexton added 18 points, while Tristan Thompson added 17 points.

Kevin Love opened the game with a 16-foot jumper. Though the Cavaliers had the initial lead, the Sixers took over after Richardson's two-point shot. Q1 ended with a 24-21 advantage to Philadelphia. The Sixers outscored the Cavaliers 30-27 in Q2, and went into the break at 54-48. The Cavaliers outscored the Sixers 49-44 in the second half but were unable to establish a lead in Q3. Sexton, Kevin Porter Jr. and Clarkson scored helped the Cavaliers overtake the Sixers in Q4. They had a 97-96 lead with 1:42 minutes left on the clock, but Embiid's two-point dunk after an assist from Tobias Harris with just 13.2 seconds left won Philadelphia the game.
