GSW star Damion Green gets injured vs Utah Jazz
Damion Lee suffered a hand fracture during the GSW's loss to the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. Fortunately, it was a non-displaced fracture, which won’t require surgery and hence a quick recovery is expected. He is currently being listed as out for at least two weeks, at which point his fitness will be re-evaluated.
Damion Lee is on a two-way contract with GSW for the second consecutive season and has been having a relatively larger role this season, thanks to the host of injuries to the Warriors locker room. He has averaged over 20 minutes per game over the season’s first 11 matches with an average of 10 points per game, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.
GSW injury crisis
Damion Lee's setback is the latest in the host of injuries the Warriors have faced this season. Lee's teammate and brother-in-law Stephen Curry broke his left hand in October and is expected to miss at least three months. Curry is scheduled with another procedure in about a month. Klay Thompson has also been ruled out with an ACL tear. Center Kevon Looney remains out because of a neuropathic condition and is unclear if he will return this season. Jacob Evans has been out since suffering a left adductor strain in a win over the New Orleans Pelicans last month. Omari Spellman also missed Monday's loss to the Jazz and is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers because of a left ankle sprain.
