Colin Kaepernick makes a last-minute change
Free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick was scheduled for an NFL workout on Saturday at the Atlanta Falcons training center but the NFL declined to allow any media or cameras at the workout. Kaepernick retaliated by making a last-minute change in his workout venue from the aforementioned to a high school in Georgia. Apparently, Colin Kaepernick wanted transparency but he notified the NFL about the change of location of his private workout with less than an hour before it was scheduled to begin.
Colin Kaepernick reportedly explained his decision, stating he had problems with the type of waiver the NFL requested, the NFL's alleged refusal to allow Kaepernick's camp to tape the workout and the NFL's alleged refusal to allow the media to record the session.
NFL statement on Colin Kaepernick
The NFL was clearly disappointed at the last-minute notice by Colin Kaepernick's representatives and a resulting no-show for the 25 teams at the Falcons training center.
Colin’s reps were told workout video and interview would be given to all 32 teams. He refused to allow NFL to videotape the workout with his reps overseeing.

According to a statement released by the NFL, more than three-fourth of NFL clubs were present for the 'Colin Kaepernick workout'. After agreeing upon the terms, Kaepernick's recent change in the venue is a sign of no-faith by the player according to the NFL. The location Kaepernick selected was more than an hour away from Flowery Branch which made it difficult for most of the teams to make it.
NFL has insisted Colin Kaepernick's decision has no effect on his status in the league. He remains an unrestricted free agent eligible to sign with any club.
