Conor Mcgregor teases fight against Frankie Edgar in December

Conor McGregor, who has been vocal and determined to have a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov after suffering an explosive submission defeat to the champion, has now turned his attention to Frankie Edgar. Conor Mcgregor seems very interested in the match-up, so much so, he already teased a December clash against the fighter while wishing him a happy birthday. Here is the tweet that shows how serious he is about the former champion.

But it did not stop at the call-out, Conor McGregor again took to Twitter to tell Dana White to book the fight against Frankie Edgar before the end of 2020. He also expressed interest in donating his purse to charity.

Frankie Edgar - His last fight in the UFC

Frankie Edgar last fought  in the Octagon against Max Holloway where the former suffered a decision loss to Holloway in a gruelling stand-up war. In the post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, he spoke about going back to the drawing board to regroup and claimed he has a lot more left in him.

Before calling out Frankie Edgar, Conor McGregor was seen provoking Justin Gaethje, who had sent him a UFC ultimatum in September:

Of all the call-outs and potential matches Conor McGregor has responded to or discussed, a battle against Frankie Edgar seemed the most unlikely given there was no heat between the two athletes, but if Edgar decides to take the fight, there is a possibility of seeing the fight happen.
