The hard-hitting all-rounder from Mumbai, Shivam Dube, became India's latest addition in the upcoming series against Bangladesh. BCCI shared a 20-second video of the all-rounder’s practice session which left fans elated. Dube’s backlift was similar to that of former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and the fans felt that Dube has the potential of being the next Yuvraj Singh. One of India's most decorated all-rounders, Yuvraj Singh, has had turbulent times in his career since his battle with cancer in 2012. Taking to Twitter the netizens lauded Dube's style and compared him to Singh.

Shivam Dube, who had a very good domestic season with his consistent and impactful performances, was picked in the T20 squad for the Bangladesh series. Dube came into the limelight in 2018 for the power-hitting abilities that he exhibited in the Ranji Trophy and the Mumbai T20 League where he smashed spin veteran Pravin Tambe for five consecutive sixes. Shivam Dube's solid performances in the domestic circuit brought him an IPL contract with the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2019 season which was valued at Rs. 5 crores. In 2019, Shivam Dube was vital in the Mumbai team reaching the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarter-finals, scoring 177 runs in five outings with the bat. Shivam also performed beautifully as a part of India A team against the West Indies earlier this summer.
