Prithvi Shaw registered a brilliant 244 in just 153 balls for Northamptonshire in their One-Day Cup match against Somerset in Northampton.

Prithvi Shaw has defied all the odds as he slammed a 129-ball double hundred for Northamptonshire in their One-Day Cup match against Somerset. Shaw faced a lot of criticism for his performances on the pitch but the Delhi Capitals batsman answered back in style as he is now only the 3rd cricketer in the history of the tournament to register a double hundred. Earlier Kent's Ollie Robinson and Sussex's Ali Orr registered a score of 206 runs each which was the highest individual score in the tournament last season.

Shaw reached his century in just 81 balls and then needed just 48 balls more to breach the 200 runs hurdle. He then went on to record a brilliant 244 in just 153 balls. His marathon innings consist of 28 boundaries and 11 sixes which also is his second List-A double hundred in his career. Shaw had an awful IPL as he managed to amass just 106 runs in eight matches.
