A new star is born in Indian Cricket at Harare as Abhishek Sharma bounced back spectacularly well after getting out for a duck in his international debut for India by scoring his maiden International century for India in their second T20I against Zimbabwe.

India were left stunned by Zimbabwe in the first T20I as they lost and failed to chase 116 runs at Harare yesterday. Given what transpired in the first game, India's skipper Shubman Gill opted to bat first in the encounter.

Abhishek Sharma's Heroic Maiden Century

In an excellent showcase of shot making ability, Abhishek Sharma backed his selection and smashed Zimbabwe bowlers all over the park for sixes as he scored a glorious 100 off just 47 balls.

Abhishek Sharma was a man on a mission as he was committed to play his natural game and bounce back from scoring a duck on his debut. He was unfazed by Shubman Gill's early wicket and went about his business to take India to a steady score.

Batting on the Harare pitch was in no way easy, but Abhishek Sharma took his time to understand the conditions well and then began his onslaught on Zimbabwe. He was dropped on 28 runs by Zimbabwe and then there was no looking back.

He brought up his maiden international fifty by smacking 28 runs in a single over and then in quickfire fashion brought up his 100 as well by smashing three consecutive sixes.

Abhishek Sharma was hungry for more and went for a fourth consecutive six but mistimed the shot and got caught to put an end to one of the most entertaining debut hundreds by an Indian Cricketer.
