Abhishek Sharma took Harare by storm as he scored a quickfire hundred off 46 balls against Zimbabwe in the 2nd T20I of the series
IND vs ZIM 2nd T20I: Young Team India were done and dusted against Zimbabwe in the very first T20I of the tour, but the young guns have comeback in style and have left the players of Zimbabwe begging for answers. It was mainly Abhishek Sharma has he let his bat wreak havoc on Zimbabwe as he kept on dealing in sixes at the Harare Sports Club, Harare. Abhishek had a pretty dismal outing in the first T20I of series, but now, he has announced his international arrival and he has done it in some terrific style.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener notched up a stellar century in just 46 balls, his first ever T20I ton in India colours. Mentored by one of the greatest white ball batsman the game has ever seen, Abhishek Sharma's innings dampened the spirits of Sikandar Raza's Zimbabwe who had expected to go, 2-0 up in the ongoing series. Indian skipper Shubman Gill failed yet again and was dismissed in the powerplay but Abhishek Sharma took India's charge and his whirlwind knock of 100 off 46 helped India register a total of 234 in 20 odd overs.

Abhishek Sharma Shatters KL Rahul And Rohit Sharma's T20I record
Abhishek had reached his maiden half-century at the 10 over mark and had no mood to stop. Sharma has now smashed a total of 47 sixes this year and has now surpassed Rohit Sharma's record by becoming the batter to hit most sixes in 2024. Sharma hit a total of 8 sixes to go past Rohit and register this record. Abhishek also equaled KL Rahul's all-time India record. Both Abhishek and KL Rahul have scored T20I centuries for India in record 46 balls.
