After meeting MS Dhoni, Joginder Sharma spits bitter truth about Gautam Gambhir
Joginder Sharma also suggested that Gautam Gambhir has a history of making decisions that other people usually don't like.
Former India bowler Joginder Sharma, who is now a Deputy Superintendent of Police in Haryana, has made a startling statement about the current head coach of the Indian cricket team, Gautam Gambhir. The BCCI appointed Gambhir as the head coach of the men's team in July, days after Rahul Dravid stepped down from the position. Dravid did not extend his contract after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies.

Joginder Sharma on Gautam Gambhir's tenure
Joginder Sharma has now made an unsettling statement about Gautam Gambhir. Joginder has said that Gambhir won't last long as the head coach of the Indian team and also explained the reason behind his statement. Joginder stated that Gambhir won't be able to stay longer because he has his own beliefs and if there is a disagreement with a player he might decide to leave. Joginder also suggested that Gambhir has a history of making decisions that other people usually don't like.
“Gautam Gambhir team ko sambhalne waala hai lekin par mera ye manna hai ki Gautam Gambhir jyada lambe samay tak tik nahi payega," Joginder Sharma said.
“Kyunki Gautam Gambhir ke apne hi kuch faisle hote hain. Ho sakta hai kisi player se man motaaw ho jaye. Mai Virat Kohli ki baat nahi kar raha hun. Gautam Gambhir ke faisle kai baar aise ho jaate hain ki dusro ko pasand nahi aate," he added.
“Gautam Gambhir seedhi baat karne waala hai. Wo kisi ke paas jaane waala nahi hai. Gautam Gambhir chaplusi karne waala banda nahi hai. Usko credit dene waale hum log hain. Wo apna kaam karta hai, sacche dil se karta hai, badi imaandaari se karta hai," Joginder said.
Joginder Sharma, who was part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup 2007, recently reunited with his former captain MS Dhoni. Joginder shared a picture of his meeting with MS Dhoni on social media platforms. Gautam Gambhir was also part of the same team and played a pivotal knock in the final.
“It was nice to meet @mahi7781 after a very long time. The fun of meeting you after almost 12 years was different today,” Joginder wrote on Instagram.
