Alastair Cook Elects Who Is Currently The Best Among The ‘Fab Four’ of Test Cricket

While speaking in a round-table interview hosted by the ICC, Alastair Cook believes that in the Fab Four of Test Cricket, Joe Root and Kane Williamson are the people who have stood up to the mark in red-ball cricket. He also claimed that the in-form Root has been at the level of NZ's Williamson. He also pointed out one particular trait among the members of the Fab Four, saying that all the batters have the zeal to improve themselves and churn out runs.

"I think at this precise moment in time, I find it hard to see anyone playing as well as Joe Root. Over the last year or so of the so-called 'Big Four', I think Williamson and him are probably in the best form at the moment.

Joe Root has been one of the most solid batters in Test cricket and every time he has set foot in the competition, he has delivered huge numbers on the board. Out of the Fab Four, Kane Williamson rules the charts, but Joe Root is gradually matching his level as he continues to play in the game.

The English Cricketer has showcased unmatched resilience and has been rewriting history and securing unbelievable records. One of the key records he might be looking into surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's record of 15,922 runs, and he is 3.206 runs short of taking over the spot as the most decorated batter in red-ball cricket.
